鶹ý maintains various strategic partnerships with other higher education institutions and national professional associations, enhancing opportunities for our students and alumni. This can be done in a number of ways, including a simplified credit transfer process, preferred acceptance pathways, and tuition savings options. These partnerships help our students achieve their educational and career goals.

Students who graduate from Albany State University will have preferred acceptance and will be granted a guaranteed interview to the Doctor of Optometry program.

Discounts

Tuition Discount Policy

Applicants can only apply one discount. If someone qualifies for more than one discount, 鶹ý will honor the greater of the two. 

Discounts for All Programs

  • Alumni: Application fee is waived; 15% discount for tuition only for alumni who completed a program with 18+ credits. Enrollment deposit still applies.
  • Veteran/Active Military: 15% tuition discount; application fee and enrollment deposit waived. Not available for dependents/spouses.

Program Accreditation

The Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) has granted the Doctor of Optometry program at 鶹ý of Health Professions the accreditation status of “Accredited with Conditions.” Accredited with Conditions, a probationary status, is a classification granted to an educational program with major deficiencies or weaknesses with reference to the Standards of accreditation that compromise the educational effectiveness of the program.
