Request Data

The governed intake for ad-hoc data and reporting requests. Routing every request through one desk keeps the Office of Institutional Effectiveness the single source of record, so published numbers and requested numbers never drift apart.

How it works

Request process & turnaround

1Submit the requestDescribe the question, the audience, and the deadline through the data-request form.
2Triage & scopeIE confirms the definition, checks it against the governed metrics, and estimates effort.
3Fulfil from the warehouseThe answer is built from the SQLMesh gold models — the same source behind the public dashboards.
4Deliver & documentYou receive the result with its definitions and as-of date; recurring requests become standing reports.

Why one desk?

When figures are pulled ad-hoc from the warehouse by many hands, two reports of “the same” number can disagree. A single governed intake — pointing back to the same gold models and the Data Governance & Definitions glossary — is how this office prevents that.
