Dr. Jones received her Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing from Weber State University, and in Family, Consumer, and Human Development from Utah State University. As a registered nurse, she worked with patients with mental health disorders in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings. She completed a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with an emphasis in education from Weber State University. She then earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty track at the University of Utah. Dr. Jones completed post-graduate fellowships in Women’s Mental Health and Public and Community Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. She maintains a practice specializing in women’s mental health and reproductive psychiatry.
Dr. Jones is the program director of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø of Health Professions. She enjoys teaching psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner students and improving their assessment, diagnostic, and comprehensive treatment planning skills.
